During class we wrote down, some drew, the conflicts in the world that we hear about these days. It was easy because conflicts are the topics for most conversations in the media, and in social groups. Also, it was interesting to see how most of us kept bringing up the same problems and conflicts. The conflicts I wrote were ; • Hunger • War • Religion • Gangs • Politics • Health Care
The only question that has been going through my mind has been, how can we solve these problems ?
During class,we wrote down on a long paper what we thought conflict was and examples of some conflicts. I thought it was interesting to see what the rest of the students considered conflicts. Overall,almost everyone brought up the same conflicts or similar to those already written down.
The conflicts that I wrote down and drew were... -War -Poverty around the world -Global warming -Discrimination -Violence in schools -Violence everywhere -Swine Flu Pandemic
As we did this activity I thought was asking myself "How can we make a book out of this?"
For me a conflict is what is happening now in the world. Some examples are……… - Famine (ravenous hunger) - War - People killing each other by small threads - The economy - Each time the drug is more common ECT..... Well in this world there are so many problems starting with the nature, because of us the planet is suffering and going through its worst time. But I think if we all work together we can help improve some of these problems, because I am one of those people who believe that we will never solve a problem at all ....... but we can improve…..=)
During the class we wrote some of the many conflicts in this world. and I felt good, because I felt like I had the opportunity to express myself and see all the problems that exist on this planet. I also felt bad about seen that role filled with such horrendous things made me feel as if we lived in a ball of conflict. It also helped me realize that I can help and much or little whatever you do will always help. One of my ideas are to donate clothing to the poor people ( homeless ), lets the people know what it happening and let its know what your opinion is , work with people who are working to save nature and our community………. -Well we wrote or made drawings on a long paper about coflics we thought where going on in the world or around us. Maybe conflicts we deal with in our every day lifes. Alot of things repeated like drugs and economic problems.
-I felt alot of the things people talked about on the poster could really relate to alot of people in the class or even themselfs. Like the things i put are things i care for or i like or dislike, i wrote about animal extinction, fashion, drugs, war ect.
-" Did you ever think about how we could make a conflict out of anything? "
In class Mrs. Nadel rolled out the "white" carpet, and we all stood around it with markers in our hands. She then said, "What is conflict?" and let us write what we felt our view on conflict.
I felt that we all knew what conflict was, but we didn't know how to resolve those conflicts, which only make MORE conflicts. Life is full of conflicts, and if we don' learn how to resolve them the right way, then we'll never learn.
I didn't really have questions, except how can we fix our conflicts with others to live happy peaceful lives.

In response to Miraidys... what are you doing about the clothing donations? Do you have a way to get clothes to people who may need them?
ReplyDeleteConflict is anything that people have different opinions on andcan't seem to agree on.
ReplyDeleteWe all wrote what we thouht conlict was on a big sheet of paper.
I thouht it was a great way to brainstorm what conflict was.
My ideas on the issue were enviornmental conflicts and personal conflicts.
As for any questions, I'd have to ask when are starting this poject because I'm a bit excited !
